Viva Cruises announces exciting developments for 2026, including a new premium line, sustainable fuel, and expanded European river cruises for winter and beyond.
Viva Cruises is gearing up for an exciting year in 2026 with several new offerings designed to enhance the guest experience while prioritizing sustainability. Among the standout developments is the launch of the Viva Boutique premium line, featuring the brand-new Viva Beyond, a luxurious river ship accommodating just 116 guests. This intimate vessel will offer a range of exclusive services, including an extended all-inclusive package, in-room breakfast, onboard entertainment, and meticulously curated itineraries that allow travelers to explore iconic destinations in style.
Guests aboard the Viva Beyond can immerse themselves in the rich history of renowned artists like Van Gogh and Monet, retracing their footsteps through picturesque landscapes. The journey will take them through the breathtaking castles of the Seine, where they can indulge in Normandy’s finest regional wines and cuisine. With its combination of luxury, art, culture, and gastronomy, the Viva Beyond promises an unforgettable voyage for travelers seeking an extraordinary river cruise experience.
In an important step towards sustainability, Viva Cruises will exclusively use hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) fuel starting in 2026. This fossil fuel-free alternative, derived from renewable resources such as vegetable oils and used cooking oils, aligns with the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint. By making this switch, Viva Cruises continues to lead the way in responsible tourism, setting a new standard for eco-friendly travel on the water.
In addition to its commitment to sustainability, Viva Cruises is enhancing its fare structure in 2026. All fares will now include taxes, fees, and surcharges, offering guests greater transparency and value for their money.
The company is also expanding its offerings with a range of new European river cruise departures set for the first quarter of 2026. For the first time, six ships will operate during the quieter winter months of January and February, including Viva One, Viva Two, Viva Enjoy, Viva Moments, Viva Gloria, and the Swiss Ruby.
Winter sailings on the Seine River will also make their debut, providing a unique opportunity to experience the charm of this iconic river during the off-peak season. Additionally, Viva Cruises will increase its seven-night departures on the Danube River and expand its offerings on the Douro River in Portugal, catering to a growing demand for longer, immersive river cruise experiences.
With these exciting new developments, Viva Cruises is poised to offer guests an even more diverse and luxurious river cruising experience in 2026, blending sustainability with exceptional service and unforgettable destinations.
