The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 11800 block of Bandera Road, not far from Loop 1604.
Police said McKnight entered the business unsatisfied with the service done to his phone and confronted Bell, an employee at the store.
A verbal argument between McKnight and Bell became physical when McKnight assaulted Bell, police said.
McKnight pulled out a gun and shot Bell, according to police. Bell died at the scene.
In self-defense, another employee at the business pulled out his firearm and shot McKnight, police said.
McKnight died at the scene.
Police said the employee who shot McKnight was cooperating with officers.

On Wednesday, Terrence Lowe got into an argument with a man in the parking lot of the Walmart near Coors Blvd. and I-40.
The man’s father stepped in to help, but Kendall Lowe showed up with a gun and fired at all three men. Terrence then got in his car and pinned the man and his dad against a truck. The man opened fire, shooting and killing Terrence.
Albuquerque police are calling it a justifiable homicide and aren’t charging the man…

Wichita Police Department officers were dispatched around 9:07 p.m. Friday to a report of a shooting in the 3700 block of N. Rock Rd. Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to investigators, the incident began several hours earlier, around 6:30 p.m., when the man allegedly threatened his 33-year-old girlfriend with a knife and stole property from her. The woman suffered minor injuries during that confrontation, but police were not notified at the time.
Later that evening, police say the man returned to the hotel and once again threatened the woman and hotel management with a knife. In response, the woman shot the man once in what detectives determined to be self-defense.
The woman cooperated fully with police and was interviewed by detectives before being released…

It was Saturday (April 5) about 3:30 a.m. when Shreveport police responded to the shooting in the 7600 block of University Drive in Shreveport. Officers learned that the resident was outside smoking when he reportedly saw two masked people breaking into cars.
While on the phone with 911, one of the alleged burglars began to approach the homeowner. The caller told the man to stop, but he reportedly kept approaching him.

Police said the 66-year-old victim saw two suspects near a parked vehicle and got into a verbal altercation with them.
The suspects then displayed a firearm and there was an exchange of gunfire with the victim, who has a valid Firearm Owners Identification card, police said.

A homeowner near 27th and Askew said he saw the thief around his truck and car that had been broken into before. He didn’t want to go on camera but says he tried to scare off the burglar with a laser and then took time to get dressed.

When asked if the shooting was “gun deal gone bad” or if it was gang-related, which had been suggested by the sheriff, CPD Chief Scott Winfree told the Herald-Citizen that it was a “gun deal gone bad.” No mention of gangs was included in the CPD report.

Virginia Beach police announced the arrest of Josiah Spann, 18, for the robbery incident on Sassafras Court on Monday. According to court documents, a man exited his home on Sassafras Court and was asked for a lighter by an unnamed and unknown man. When he exited his house to hand over the lighter, he was allegedly followed by another man who held him at gunpoint and asked for “everything he had.”
The robbery victim handed over his phone, but then drew his own weapon he was carrying and fired it at the alleged robber.
The two men exchanged gunfire, and when investigators arrived on scene, they found Josiah Spann roughly a hundred feet away on nearby Wales Drive, suffering from gunshot wounds. Spann later admitted to being at the scene of the robbery, but denied calling it such.
Spann is now charged with several felonies, including armed robbery, aggravated malicious wounding, shooting in the commission of a felony, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony…

Garza is alleged to have been “drinking all day” and “acting delusional,” according to reports by authorities. They said that he then “began pulling out firewood, turning on a kerosene pump, and letting [kerosene] flow into the parking lot.”
From there, Garza is alleged to have then entered the store, taking a lighter, and threatening to light the kerosene that had previously flowed into the lot.
Police said that the store clerk was armed with a pistol and confronted Garza. Following the confrontation, a struggle took place between the two, resulting in Garza being fatally shot.

A witness told detectives that he shot the man while defending himself then called 911.
The witness stated he was inside the store with his girlfriend and was talking to the cashier after making a purchase when he noticed two men standing in the line next to him. As the men walked past him, the witness said one of them tried to grab his firearm – a 9mm pistol that was in the witness’ pants pocket.
The witness said he immediately tried to secure his gun as he began to physically struggle with the man. During the struggle, the witness said he and the man who grabbed his gun fell to the ground. That’s when he said the second man pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at him (the witness) while he was on the ground fighting with the other man, court documents say.
According to court documents, the man who was on the ground fighting with the witness yelled at the second man to “hurry up and shoot him.”
The witness said he was able to get ahold of his gun as they were all getting up from the ground, which is when he fired it at the man who first grabbed his gun, according to court documents.
The witness said the suspect fell to the ground outside the front door – and the other suspect, identified as Williamson, ran to the back of the store…
