A Global Representation of Excellence
This year’s graduating cohort was a diverse and talented group, representing over 25 nationalities. It included a range of postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, with students specializing in various disciplines such as aviation management, aviation safety, air transport management, aerospace engineering, and aeronautical engineering. The broad scope of these fields underscores the university’s commitment to nurturing expertise across every aspect of aviation.
Among the 154 graduates, 24 were postgraduate students, while the remaining 130 were undergraduate scholars. Notably, many of these students were sponsored by Emirates, reinforcing the close ties between the university and the airline. The university also took the opportunity to recognize the outstanding achievements of 19 exemplary students across all disciplines, celebrating their exceptional contributions to their respective fields.
Reflecting on EAU’s 35th year, Professor Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University said: “This generation of graduates are stepping into the world of aviation at a pivotal moment of rapid transformation – in the UAE and globally. Their commitment and innovation will not only propel the industry forward but will also help to sustain it long-term as the world navigates the shortage of an expert and experienced workforce. Congratulations to our graduates – their achievements are a testament to our successful academic journey.”
A Lifelong Investment in the Aviation Workforce
Emirates Aviation University’s unique position in the aviation education sector is demonstrated by its focus on blending academic knowledge with hands-on industry experience. Over the past four years, more than 650 undergraduate students participated in the Emirates Group Internship Programme, a transformative initiative that offers them valuable real-world exposure. These internships, which span one semester, allow students to earn up to 15 credit hours toward their degree while gaining practical experience in the aviation industry.
The Emirates Group Internship Programme is a cornerstone of the university’s academic offerings, providing students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work closely with industry professionals at one of the world’s leading aviation groups. This experience not only enriches students’ learning but also enhances their employability, making them well-prepared to take on leadership roles in aviation once they graduate.
