A 2022 study from the Crime Prevention Research Center looked at changes in crime and killings of police after adopting constitutional carry. Using data from 13 states, researchers found that the drop in murder is statistically significant, but the change in violent crime is not. . . .

Private schools have reportedly asked for legal changes so that staff have the option to carry concealed weapons as concerns rise, particularly at Christian schools. The Firearm Law Revisions bill allows individuals with valid concealed handgun permits to carry on private school property if the school allows it and provides written permission.

Rep. Keith Kidwell, R-Beaufort, pointed to a report from the Crime Prevention Research Center that states “schools that allow teachers to carry guns are extremely safe.” He said data shows that 2 million times a year, legally owned guns are used to defend people in the US. . . .

Translation from German: John R. Lott Jr., an American economist and author, published several studies demonstrating a connection between the expansion of mail-in voting and increasing susceptibility to fraud. He points out that many states have restricted or abolished mail-in voting for precisely these reasons.

John R. Lott Jr., who served as senior advisor for research and statistics in the Department of Justice during 2020-21, wrote in a recent article that “the Biden administration obliterated the line between lawful expression and criminal intent by encouraging federal agencies to monitor speech that involved no criminal activity.” . . .

“This concern about domestic terrorism was used as a basis for advocating a variety of gun control policies,” Lott noted in his analysis of the document, adding that it “raises serious civil liberties concerns. It obliterates the line between legitimate security threats and Constitutionally protected speech and behavior and casts a dangerously wide net.” . . .

In the article, Ryan pulls heavily from the exhaustive research of Dr. John Lott and the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), an organization that has long been challenging the misleading claims often cited by gun control advocates. The CPRC’s data demonstrates that the U.S. is not uniquely violent when you remove cherry-picked criteria and properly account for population, socio-political context, and reporting accuracy.

Need to know! More Facts To Carry a Gun NOW

“The first question is: What is a child?” economist, author, and president of the Crime Prevention Research Center,  John Lott writes, noting: “Guns Are Not the Leading Cause of Children’s Deaths…The bottom line is that about a third of the firearm deaths for those under 20 involve homicide, where the victims are 18 and 19 years old. Approximately 20% involve homicides for 15, 16, and 17-year-olds. These deaths are largely gang-related, and even banning guns is unlikely to stop drug gangs from obtaining guns to protect their extremely valuable drugs.”
