Emirates is bringing the vibrant spirit of Holi to the skies, offering travelers on select flights to India a delightful festive experience. On 13 and 14 March, passengers flying with Emirates will be treated to traditional Holi sweets and refreshing Thandai, spreading joy and festive cheer onboard.

Festive Indulgence in the Skies

Passengers flying to and from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai will savor the traditional Kesar Gujiya, a deep-fried dumpling stuffed with rich, solidified milk and dried fruits. This sweet treat will be served in a specially designed Holi-themed box, reflecting the festival’s vibrant colors and joyous spirit.

For travelers in First and Business Class, the celebration begins with a warm welcome featuring chilled Thandai, a Holi-special milk-based drink infused with nuts, saffron, and rose petals, creating a refreshing start to their journey.

A Cinematic Holi Celebration with Emirates’ In-Flight Entertainment

Emirates’ award-winning ICE entertainment system is also embracing the Holi spirit, offering an extensive selection of 180 Indian films, including the latest Bollywood blockbusters and regional hits. Passengers can immerse themselves in recent cinematic releases such as Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Patna Shuklla, and Shaitaan. Additionally, a curated collection of Yash Raj Films—one of Bollywood’s most celebrated production houses—will be available for those who love classic romance and drama.

Beyond movies, passengers can enjoy an array of Indian TV shows and over 40 music albums and playlists, including popular Spotify collections like Desi Hits, Desi Pop, and Desi Hip Hop Mixtape—ensuring that the festive energy of Holi continues throughout their flight.

Emirates and India: A Strong Cultural Connection

Emirates’ Holi celebration is a testament to its 38-year-long relationship with India, a market that remains central to the airline’s global operations. With 167 weekly flights connecting nine Indian cities, Emirates plays a pivotal role in linking millions of travelers to India from Dubai and beyond.
