Teony Juarez, 18, was arrested near the scene of the fatal shooting earlier this month after he and his accomplice, 16-year-old Cecil Batiz, allegedly robbed the store at gunpoint, prompting the store clerk to shoot at them.
Juarez was injured, and Batiz was killed. Juarez is also being held on counts of armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and the illegal use of weapons. No charges have been filed against the store’s clerk, the New Orleans Police Department has said…
Juarez is accused of robbing Sam’s Meat Market in the 8400 block of I-10 Service Road with Batiz at 7:49 p.m. on Dec. 3. In video footage of the incident, Juarez demanded the store’s cash while Batiz stole cell phones and both held the store manager at gunpoint, according to an affidavit for the teen’s arrests.

Multiple 911 calls reported a shooting between two males in a shopping center parking lot.
Detectives preliminarily determined that two vehicles pulled into the parking lot after one driver believed the other possibly hit his vehicle.
A 55-year-old male exited his vehicle and displayed a firearm in his waistband.
Police say, the 42-year-old male, who had also exited his vehicle, was armed and discharged his firearm at the 55-year-old, striking him…
The male who discharged his firearm remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

While investigating, the sheriff’s office determined that during a physical altercation with multiple people, a 28-year-old store employee pulled out a gun and shot the victim at least once.
Officials said they found that there was an unserved civil harassment restraining order, that was issued November 14. The order said that the liquor store employee was the protected party and the shooting victim was the restrained party.
There was also a no-trespass letter against the victim, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office major crimes unit is continuing to investigate what happened. No arrests have been made at this time. The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office will look over the gathered evidence to determine if charges will be filed.

According to information shared with 6 News by Killeen Police, a man was inside his home in the 4400 block of Jeff Scott Drive when he heard one of his cars start up in his driveway. The man went to investigate, only to find that the suspect was driving away in his sedan.
Police say the man followed the thief in his Tahoe a short distance to the Eula Bea Court cul-de-sac before the suspect got out of the car and started firing shots at him. The man in the Tahoe returned fire and hit a male suspect that was in the stolen car.
Officers were eventually dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to the 4000 block of Eula Bea Court, where the incident was reported to have occurred. The suspect that was shot was taken to the hospital, police say. No information on their status has been made available…

An Indianapolis man was pronounced dead after a shooting early Friday morning in the parking lot of the Amazon warehouse in Greenfield…
When deputies arrived, they found a man, later identified as 39-year-old Isaac Riley, who was shot. Riley was later pronounced dead by officials. Another man was located at the scene with “hands raised to surrender to deputies.”…
According to the office, officials said that it appeared to be an isolated incident between the two people, stating that the “shooting appears to be in self-defense.”
“The suspected shooter and witnesses all cooperated with law enforcement,” the post read.
According to a news release from the Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office, officials said that the two involved individuals did not know each other, but “came into contact” before the shooting.
Riley reportedly confronted the shooter inside the Amazon facility and “threatened to cause physical harm to the shooter.” The release said that the shooter left the building and was waiting on a ride in the parking lot when Riley approached him and made additional aggressive remarks.
Riley also reportedly “made additional aggressive remarks and furtive movements while closing in on the shooter in an aggressive manner,” the release said.
“The shooter drew a firearm that he had in his possession and fired, ultimately striking Riley and causing his death,” the release said. “Amazon, its employees, the shooter and other witnesses have been cooperative with the ongoing investigation. All initial information indicates that this is an isolated incident.”…

Police say a delivery driver shot a man trying to steal his van early Saturday outside Pine’s PIVOT Apartments. According to SPD’s report on the 4:45 AM incident, the driver was coming back out of the building when he found the suspect inside the delivery van and ready to speed away. Police say the victim pulled out a handgun and opened fire as the suspect struck him with the van as he tried to speed from the scene. The victim was able to track the van a few blocks away where police found it parked near a downtown hotel with the suspect bleeding inside and multiple bullet holes in the van. Seattle Fire was called to the scene where its crew treated the suspect for a gunshot wound to the chest before transporting him to Harborview. The victim was not reported seriously injured in the melee.

Dorian Lewis, 21, was charged Dec. 24 with murder after a shooting in the area of North Eighth Street and Campbell Street in Paducah. Ben Hall Jr., 44, died as a result of the shooting.
Lewis’ case was dismissed Thursday after the judge found no probable cause for murder. He was released from jail.
At the hearing, Paducah Police Detective Danny Slack testified that Lewis should not be charged with murder because he acted to defend someone’s life. Philadelphia Police Inspector D F Pace said a man dressed all in black entered the store wielding a gun and began pointing it at customers, demanding they hand over their belongings. Pace said the man robbed three people and left the store before lingering outside.
A short time later, one of the three people who were robbed returned with a gun, and confronted the robber who was still there. A police spokesperson said the two began shooting at each other on the 500 block of Diamond Street.
