Eve Air Mobility, a pioneering force in the production and service of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Signature Aviation, the largest global network of private aviation terminals. This collaboration aims to explore the infrastructure needs and ground services essential for the safe, efficient, and scalable operation of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) solutions.
“Following the rollout of our first full-scale eVTOL prototype, we continue to build on that momentum and are looking forward to teaming with Signature Aviation to support eVTOL operations,” said Luiz Mauad, vice president, Services, Operations Solutions, Strategic Design & Ecosystem at Eve Air Mobility. “Eve and Signature will leverage the companies’ combined global presence and experience in servicing aircraft and creating seamless passenger experiences. Signature Aviation’s insight into ground services needs, local knowledge, private aviation terminal operations and passenger services will inform the procedures and ecosystem needed to accelerate preparations for eVTOLs to launch and scale.”
This agreement unites two prominent leaders in the aerospace sector: Eve Air Mobility, renowned for its eVTOL manufacturing, and Signature Aviation, which boasts a worldwide network of private aviation terminals. Under the MoU, both companies will also assess opportunities for future commercial collaborations.
“The announcement of our partnership with Eve adds to a transformative year for Signature, while also reinforcing our commitment to shaping the future of aviation through our sustainability initiatives,” said Derek DeCross, chief commercial officer, Signature Aviation. “We’re always looking ahead to create and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests, and working towards the most comprehensive ground infrastructure for eVTOL aircraft is a major part of that mission. This collaboration will bring together our experience, resources, and creativity to find the most effective path towards innovative, safe, and scalable ground operations for advanced air mobility.”
Alongside their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Eve Air Mobility and Signature Aviation have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for Vector, Eve’s state-of-the-art urban air traffic management software. Built as a versatile, agnostic solution, Vector is designed to tackle the evolving challenges in air traffic and network management for both current and future Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations. The software will facilitate reliable, scalable, and efficient management of fleets and vertiports, enabling operators to evolve as the AAM sector grows. Eve is moving toward launching a fully operational version of Vector, available for customer trials to help drive the industry’s progress.
In a related development, Eve has unveiled its robust aftermarket services portfolio, which focuses on improving the safety and efficiency of urban air mobility operations. Eve TechCare, an innovative all-in-one suite, is designed to optimize eVTOL operations by providing a range of services, expert support, and cutting-edge solutions. Backed by Embraer’s 55 years of aerospace experience, Eve TechCare delivers exceptional customer service with a global reach and localized presence. The portfolio includes technical support, MRO services, parts and battery solutions, as well as training and flight operation services, all accessible via a digital platform. Eve TechCare’s offerings are tailored to support every operational need necessary for seamless daily eVTOL operations.
With letters of intent for 2,900 eVTOLs, Eve’s aircraft are equipped with eight dedicated propellers for vertical flight and fixed wings for cruising, maintaining the same configuration throughout the entire flight. The design incorporates an electric pusher powered by dual motors, ensuring redundancy in propulsion and a commitment to the highest levels of performance, safety, dispatch reliability, and cost efficiency.
