Air Serbia has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with the Union of the Blind of Serbia to raise awareness and improve the quality of life for blind and visually impaired individuals. This newly signed cooperation agreement focuses on increasing public understanding of the challenges faced by this community while working to make Air Serbia’s services more inclusive and accessible.

A key initiative within the partnership will be the introduction of Braille emergency procedure instructions on Air Serbia flights, marking a historic first for the airline. The move, driven by the Union of the Blind of Serbia, aims to empower visually impaired passengers with vital safety information in a format they can easily read and understand.

This collaboration is part of Air Serbia’s broader commitment to creating a more user-friendly experience for all passengers, ensuring that those with visual impairments can navigate air travel with greater independence and confidence. The airline will continue to work with the Union of the Blind of Serbia to launch additional projects and initiatives designed to improve accessibility across its services.

Through this partnership, Air Serbia is taking a significant step towards a more inclusive future, ensuring that all passengers, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy a seamless and supportive travel experience.

“Our company is continuously committed to equal rights for all passengers. We were pleased to respond to the invitation of the Union of the Blind of Serbia and, together with them, prepared emergency procedure instructions in Braille, which will soon be available on our flights. In this way, we aim to make travel easier for blind and visually impaired individuals and encourage them to fly. By introducing various materials in Braille, as well as through other joint activities, we will strive to contribute to creating a more inclusive environment,” said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

“The cooperation with Air Serbia represents a significant step forward in achieving our goals. Together, we will work on creating new and innovative solutions that can ease the daily lives of blind and visually impaired people, particularly in the area of travel,” emphasized Milan Stošić, president of the Union of the Blind of Serbia.

The cooperation agreement signed today between Air Serbia and the Union of the Blind of Serbia underscores both organizations’ dedication to social responsibility and improving the quality of life for all citizens, with a particular focus on blind and visually impaired individuals in the Republic of Serbia.

In addition to introducing Braille materials on Air Serbia flights, the agreement includes a series of initiatives aimed at further supporting this community. Key activities will involve the education and training of Air Serbia employees to better understand the specific needs of blind and visually impaired passengers. Additionally, efforts will be made to raise public awareness about the challenges faced by this group in their daily lives.

This collaboration marks a significant step in making air travel more accessible and inclusive, while also fostering greater understanding and empathy within the broader community. Air Serbia and the Union of the Blind of Serbia are committed to continuing their efforts to enhance the travel experience for all, regardless of ability.
