Z Hotels has revealed plans to launch its fifteenth property in the UK, set to debut in Leicester Square, London, by early 2025.
The new hotel, located at 3-5 Charing Cross Road, will feature 95 rooms and serve as the flagship property for Z Hotels. True to the brand’s signature, it will offer affordable yet stylish luxury in a compact setting. Guests will enjoy a sleek ground-floor reception and benefit from cutting-edge building systems, alongside the latest low-carbon technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency and minimizing operational costs.

The new hotel’s development was made possible through a GBP23m loan from OakNorth and ASK Partners, following OakNorth’s earlier backing of the hotel group. This included refinancing debt and supporting an expansion at the Z Hotel in Piccadilly, which added 20 additional rooms.
Founded in 2011, Z Hotels has become known for its straightforward concept of offering stylish, compact rooms in prime city centre locations. The brand caters to guests who prefer the convenience of being near the action without the need for extra amenities like gyms or restaurants, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a simple, efficient stay.
London remains a key area for expansion, with 12 Z Hotels properties now operating in the city. In addition, the brand has expanded into regional cities, with locations now open in Bath, Glasgow, and Liverpool.
Clever repurposing of spaces
Z Hotels has expanded by transforming older, smaller office buildings across multiple floors that no longer meet the demands of modern businesses, which prefer open-plan spaces in larger, contemporary buildings. These properties are repurposed into stylish hotels, with examples like Z Soho, which was created by converting twelve Georgian townhouses.
In mid-2023, Aprirose, a strategic real estate investor with extensive experience in the hotel sector, acquired a 50% stake in Z Hotels, reflecting the brand’s success. With their expertise, Aprirose aims to support and accelerate the company’s growth moving forward.
