The renowned Hilton brand is preparing to make its debut in Moldova’s hospitality sector with the launch of its first hotel in Chișinău. This milestone represents a major boost for the country’s HORECA industry, offering visitors a new choice for top-tier accommodations, exceptional service quality, and world-class hospitality standards.
“Hilton’s entry into the Moldovan market is an important milestone for us. Moldova is an emerging destination with a lot of untapped potential, and we believe that this investment will not only raise the standard of hospitality in the country but also further catalyze the growth of tourism and economic performance” said Natalia Bejan, Director of Invest Moldova Agency.
“We look forward to welcoming Hilton to our country and working together to bring new levels of service to both domestic and international guests.”
The Hilton Garden Inn project will breathe new life into the historic Dacia Hotel building, situated in the heart of Chișinău’s historic district. The extensive reconstruction will modernize and expand the iconic structure to align with Hilton’s high standards, offering premium accommodations to future guests. The grand unveiling of the revamped hotel is slated for 2026.
This franchise initiative is backed by a substantial local investment, starting with €5 million and expected to grow to €10-12 million over the coming years. Currently employing dozens of staff, the Dacia Hotel’s integration into the Hilton network will not only enhance professional growth opportunities but also lead to the expansion of its workforce.
“We are confident that this project will be a success and will provide top-quality services to tourists, whether they come from abroad or from Moldova”, stated Iulia Scurtu, the manager of the Dacia Hotel.
