GF Hotels & Resorts, a leading name in hospitality ownership, management, and consulting, is excited to announce the appointment of Chris Lorino as Senior Executive Vice President, Operations. With over 20 years of expertise in the hospitality industry, Lorino brings a dynamic blend of leadership, experience, and passion to his new role.
Lorino’s career began in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience working at seasonal resorts during his youth. Immersed in the world of guest service, he developed a deep understanding of how hospitality creates unforgettable experiences. To build on his passion, Lorino pursued a degree from the esteemed School of Hospitality at Boston University, laying a strong foundation for his career. His journey took off at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he spent 18 years advancing through various roles at seven different Westin properties across six cities.
Lorino’s career continued to soar at Provenance Hotels, a well-known boutique hotel brand in the Pacific Northwest, where he refined his expertise in managing independently owned hotels with distinctive character and design. He later joined Sage Hospitality as Vice President of Operations, overseeing a diverse portfolio of 18 full-service hotels, including both branded and independent properties. Most recently, Lorino served as Senior Vice President of Operations at First Hospitality, leading a team responsible for 70 hotels and 25 restaurants across the U.S.
Outside of his professional life, Lorino enjoys spending time at his vacation home in Palm Springs, California, and exploring international destinations, particularly South America, where his wife, Marcela, hails from. Married for 15 years, they reside in the greater Atlanta area with their son, Matteo.
