Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline, is marking the festive occasion of Eid Al Etihad in celebration of the UAE’s 53rd National Day with the launch of limited-edition amenity kits for its passengers.
Throughout the month-long festivities, guests flying with Etihad will receive complimentary, specially designed amenity kits on selected flights. The kits are part of the airline’s dedication to enhancing the travel experience while celebrating the rich heritage of the UAE.
On 2 December, in honor of the National Day, all passengers will receive Etihad’s signature celebratory tote bags. These beautifully crafted bags feature design elements inspired by the iconic history of Abu Dhabi, showcasing traditional Sadu weaving patterns, a revered Bedouin craft. The tote bags reflect the deep cultural significance and pride of the UAE, offering a unique memento of this special occasion.
Turky Al Hammadi, Director of Product and Hospitality, said: “We are proud to unveil this seasonal complimentary gift for our guests, giving a limited-edition flair to our much-loved amenity kits. Our guest experience is inspired by the authentic hospitality of our Emirati identity and our home the UAE. As we celebrate the ‘Eid al Etihad’ holiday, we look forward to welcoming our guests on board with this special touch and warm welcome.”
Etihad Airways is enhancing the travel experience for passengers across all cabins as part of its National Day celebrations, with exclusive, limited-edition amenity kits and tote bags designed to honor the UAE’s rich heritage and culture.
For passengers flying in Business, First, and The Residence, Etihad is offering Giorgio Armani amenity kits in unique, UAE-inspired colors. These kits are filled with luxury skincare products from the renowned wellness brand ESPA, along with practical travel accessories that elevate the in-flight experience.
Economy class guests are also treated to two specially crafted tote bags that reflect the beauty and traditions of the UAE. The first design features a vintage photograph from 1962, depicting a Bedouin family crossing the Asab Oasis in Liwa, Abu Dhabi. This stunning image celebrates the expansive Liwa Desert and its breathtaking sand dunes, showcasing the timeless spirit of the UAE’s nomadic heritage.
The second design draws inspiration from the iconic Emirati Kandura, focusing on the distinctive neckline and stitching of this traditional garment, which continues to hold cultural significance today. These practical tote bags are paired with a plush blanket and headphones for an added layer of comfort during the flight. Guests will also find complimentary amenities, including a Beekman lip balm, inside. After the flight, the tote bag can be easily folded away for reuse, making it a sustainable souvenir.
On National Day, Etihad will delight passengers with signature desserts inspired by the occasion, adding a sweet touch to the celebration in the skies.
