At the “Tashkent International Tourism Fair” (TITF) in Uzbekistan, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board showcased the country’s tourism attractions, focusing on the theme “Tourism on the Silk Road”. The national booth featured representatives from Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Shahdag Tourism Center, and nine other local tourism stakeholders.
The exhibit provided visitors with comprehensive details about Azerbaijan’s rich history, culture, cuisine, ski resorts, viticulture, and health and winter tourism. It also facilitated B2B meetings with international tourism professionals.
During the fair, the Shahdag Tourism Center participated in a special event organized under the auspices of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts, to which it belongs. The session spotlighted the Alliance’s annual achievements and collaborative efforts with member countries. Detailed presentations on the Shahdag Tourism Center’s winter tourism potential, upcoming projects, and international competitions were also delivered. Furthermore, the center was chosen to host the next Eurasian Mountain Resorts Festival in March 2025.
Additionally, from January to October 2024, tourist arrivals from Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan increased by 19%, reaching 37,536 visitors compared to the previous year.
